Subconsciousness and programming both encouraged Optimus to press into that touch. The lazy contact turned more pointed as he tightened his hold, bodily drawing the little minibot closer to his frame. But he certainly didn't wake up, down for the count for several hours, engine rumbling peacefully.
He always did recharge better with a warm frame next to his own, after all.
