The lack of pace is indeed, a pace to him. Optimus knows it's probably going to happen eventually, be it now or far into the future.

...At least in this case he'd actually come to enjoy Cliffjumper's company, as well as finding him to be a trustworthy mech he could count on in a fight. He'd have no problems actually enjoying anything that might occur.
"Like I said, you're fine. I'm hardly bothered. Though if you are uncomfortable, I am certainly willing to move. It's your berth, after all."
He gave Cliffjumper a questioning glance, shrugging casually. There really wasn't anywhere else to move to, and he wouldn't move beyond the edge of the thing thanks to Mirage's orders. But letting the minibot have his own say should hopefully ease some of that tension.
