Optimus went to work right away, wetting the sponge and lathering it up with a light solvent to take care of the deco, beginning a quick but efficient wipe-down of Cliffjumper's entire frame. With one hand occupied, the other began buffing, starting at the top and working his way down.
The decorations from the party came off quickly enough, the delicate filigree readily flaking off, but the blue and red nanite-transfers were a bit more stubborn.
"You might want to brace yourself," he suggested, before applying more force, buffing in tight circles across the affected areas. Despite the wet and the rush, he smiled against Cliffjumper's back.
"...Perhaps when we get back, I'll have a chance to make this sort of thing a bit more enjoyable."
