Megatron circled Optimus' chosen ring while the Prime himself got ready, merely making a non-comittal sound at the reply, and his expression as he stepped into the ring as Optimus spoke again was, for the first time when the situation as it was, was being mentioned not bitter, merely somber. Maybe even thoughtful, before he grunted in clear dismissal.
"By ignoring it. While I... appreciate being asked if I had time to spar, that is my point. You asked. Time lapsed have not been long, I admit, but there's been no difference in how you act..." Megatron was grateful for being asked, for the lack of assumption on his time and person, and the implied difference between Optimus as Prime and those he'd already seen passed.
Megatron had, however, spent some time teaching the newer gladiators a thing or two, and reading all he could get his hands on had broadened his view... While he was not a (good) teacher by any stretch of the imagination, he still seemed unable not to try and share.
"I hope you've done whatever you need to do for this to not whack me flat on my back." That was all the warning Optimus got Megatron attacked, using not so much a straight punch, as a pit-fighting technique.
