Cliffjumper was concentrating more on actually fleeing than anything else, but there was a certain fun thrill in it... And if the situation had been a little more different, he'd have had even more unburdened fun with it. As it was, there was a slight knot of tension fuelling the minibot as he ran down the corridor and ignored the guards at the elevator.
At least they didn't try to stop him, as he barreled past, barely pausing long enough to let the door into the stairwell slide aside.
"Slag, slag, slag..." He couldn't smother the faint excitement that slipped out in the muttered curses; this wasn't all bad, after all, though his distraction almost caused him to stumble on the stairs and then he just decided to jump down the flights.
Optimus was gaining, but if he could just get out into the main corridor of the lowest floor and get into the sparring room, he'd have more space... and things to run around.
The only issue with jumping down flights was that he landed on the floor right in front of the door to the sparring room floor, and unthinkingly ran straight ahead, not pausing enough.
"Ggh!" Which meant Cliffjumper met the door with a clang, running into it right as it also slid aside, staggering him a bit. Maybe that hadn't stopped him long enough? Determindedly not looking backwards or even actively listening for how close the Prime was, Cliffjumper just dove through the door.
