And releasing Megatron's wrist from a hold that he had at least a bit control over might not have been the most clever move ever; Megatron at first just grinned sharply at Optimus' annoyance and then snagged the Prime's own wrist, pushing it down against his chestplate again, and locking his thumb and forefinger around one of the bars that went in front of his headlights to make it harder for the Prime to yank his hand free.
"The only thing? Hardly. Do you really think Nova Prime started out corrupt, for example? Sentinel Prime was a different sort of spark, so that doesn't exactly factor into this discussion." Megatron shrugged, dragging his free hand down his heated faceplates and finally let his cooling fans turn on; they sucked too much energy to be practical to allow during a battle or spar.
The sparklights on the right of his chestplates, having been kept bright and sharp during the spar, flared once and then dimmed to their usual strength outside of any sort of fighting.
"Consider this part of me actually listening to you, Prime. Not just for this moment, obviously, but you're not going to keep me here forever, so you should probably hope you convince me." He had no problem with boldly stating that he wouldn't remain like this forever; without actually having found a plan of him escaping, or attempting to escape, his stating this was no proof at all.
