The continued caresses, along his frame, around his horns (especially the latter) was enough to drag out his overload even if the intensity petered off after a while. There were still shivers and trembling lashes of energy along his limbs, flickering around the circuitry in his spark chamber, ans Cliffjumper's hand on Optimus' audial didn't exactly let go or lighten up at all.
"Sh-shut up," he sputtered, staring at another wall instead of at the Prime when he got enough processor back to actually catch onto what Optimus was saying (about him), because frag, he did not!.
He even yanked a little on the audial, but uncoordinated as he was from overload, and the fact that he didn't really want to hurt Optimus, meant it was soft exasperation than any true harsh, injurous pull.
