"Considering you know that, I assume you have said... connections." Not that he'd expect Optimus to reveal that to him, but needling him about it did provide some amusement. The Prime was reasonably even-tempered and kept his disposition well. He'd just poke at what he could and see what fell out.
Megatron did, however, visibly pause, bringing himself up short mentally and crossed his arms, frowning, when Optimus claimed it was a bit of both. Sure, the eaisest would be to dismiss it; he was the Prime, having "spies" out in any echelon of society would actually be clever, and not really dishonest.
The thing was, there was... something in Optimus' tone that implied something less... simpler than just regular "informants" or "proper" research and reports. He couldn't put his finger on it exactly, but it was there.
"Indeed?" Megatron looked the Prime up and down, and then actually stalked around him slowly while he spoke. "And what, exactly, can you claim to know, if you're not cut off up here?"
