cliffjumper: (trust me I have a gun)

O: "Good. Hang on then, because I'm tired of getting snuck up on, so we're not stopping until we get out of here. Subspace these," he added, passing up both dropped weapons, holding on to his own.

He didn't mention that he wasn't entirely sure how many more times he could manage to get himself back up if he got shot again. Even reapplying the patch to his damaged leg wouldn't replace the energon he had already lost. The moment Cliffjumper's grip on him seemed secure, he took off at a loping jog. He passed up the stairwell, instead heading right for the opposite edge of this roof as well.

And it was a good thing they had finally moved again, because by the sounds coming from behind them, the original, noisy crowd from the first building had finally decided to try the stairs.

He didn't pause, and easily made the (thankfully shorter) leap with only the slightest stumble.

CJ: Doing as asked, though it was slightly tricky to subspace the weapons while hanging onto Optimus with one hand, but that done, he got a good grip again and wondered where Optimus was even going like this... Which was apparently for the edge of the roof and another leap.

"Aw, c'mon, ya can't mean---" Cliffjumper's token protest was cut off by the jarring landing, and he didn't bother to look back to see the part of the mob that had followed them spill out on that other roof; being two roofs away by now, they ought to be quite safe from the angry crowd, at least.

The bigger problem would be more potential assa---kidnappers. Cliffjumper was still completely baffled as to why it was apparently suddenly kidnapping and not killing him that was the order of the day.

"How far away do ya think we need to be to be sure we can call in for some transport?" He'd liked to have been able to claim to know this... anything, really, to be more useful than he was, but he couldn't. So he'd ask.
