Optimus allowed his helm to fall down limply when Ratbat released it, playing along. He winced internally when Cliffjumper fought back, willing his circuits to clear out the null ray effects more quickly. Thankfully, not much other than the little mech's pride seemed to be hurt, but he still returned the Decepticon's smirk with a glare.

Meanwhile, he subtly tested his communications. The long-range blockers from the elevator were still up, as expected. Leaving them down would have been even more foolish than leaving him unrestrained.
