The lull allowed Optimus to target the guard's defenses, much like they had done with his own. A senator's statue-head was shot off, falling down on top of the guard hiding behind it, while another was pelleted by shrapnel as a crystal bench exploded nearby.

Careful to keep Cliffjumper protected, he didn't ease up, even when the Tower Guards came flying in, the ground-based defense-mechs alarms wailing in the distance.
