It wasn't the traditional ticket into the arenas, but that wasn't so strange considering it was the type gladiators got every now and then to invite who they wished... sort of promotional.
The gladiator also knew that while Orion wouldn't be able to make all of the matches, or even all of his own, there were definitely enough open spots in Orion's schedule that matched well enough with at least a few of his matches.
And since this type of "tournament" relied on cumulative results of the individually judges matches, it didn't matter if you lost all of your scheduled matches; you'd fight through them anyway, so there was no risk of Orion not being able of seeing one of them.
