"But I think you will be more displeased in less than a joor when I need to move you and you're still in recharge."
Since recharge cycles usually lasted a joor, and if he was going to get back to the arena in time to get ready, he'd need to leave before a joor was up. Having more space, like a berth, should take care of that, even if moving, certainly, wasn't what he wanted to do.
