I'm pretty sure you could do reasonably well without it, but," Megatron paused momentarily and shifted sideways so that Orion could reach the side of the leg he needed to, "sometimes you end up realising a few things about yourself when put in situations you're unfamiliar with."
Megatron's smile was dry, and there was definitely a shade of 'I know because that happened to me'. Better they find out early if such a position would affect Orion or draw something in particular out than it building and being pulled out later.
