Everybody learns from somebody

Passing the doors into the library, Megatron was pleased he had gotten the schedule correct as he saw who was sitting at the desk. If it had been completely necessary due to his own schedule, he'd have come here when he could. But since he didn't have to...

Ignoring the faint itch interfacing hadn't properly gotten rid off, Megatron approached the librarian at a lazy, casual walk. It was a pity he hadn't seen any signs at all that the surprisingly fine-lined truck-alted mech had the inclination he was looking for. Things would have been a lot easier (and, really, pleasing) if he had.

As it was, since there was no one left in the current arena circuit that he trusted with what he had to hand over, perhaps he would have to avail himself of one of the clubs. It made an irritable twitch slither down the treads on his shoulders, the thought that he'd have to do that.

It was ages since he'd had to go to an open venue like that to simply get his needs properly taken care of.

And he really would have preferred the librarian. Orion Pax - it hadn't taken anything to find out the designation when to found the schedule - was witty, somehow diplomatically argumentative and didn't give in if he knew he was right or wanted to stand for his opinion, actually had some smarts to go with said use of words and Megatron wanted to know more.

More, and more personally (most of the earlier he'd simply learned over the few times he'd been in the library when the mech was, but hadn't actually approached him). So this time, he decided to actually use the librarian's assistance in what he was looking for... and perhaps get something more out of it.

"Excuse me?"

::Ah. Well...::

Orion engine revved at the contact, stumbling slightly as they walked.

"Megatron!" He laughed, shaking his head. Giving the larger mech a playful shove with his shoulder, he spun his wheel under Megatron's hand.

::And you're right. I suppose that makes sense. It would be better for everyone in the long run, even Drift, if they can catch him cleanly and easily.::

"Your place or mine, then?" He asked, steering them toward the door.

Megatron didn't try to defend himself, merely smirked when Orion shoved him and let his fingers slide and catch against the wheel when it was spun, even pushing down slightly against it.

::Exactly. Minimising any further damage.::

He hummed briefly at the question, almost opening his mouth and engaging his vocaliser on 'mine' without checking - and then paused. Eyeing Orion as they left the club and stepped out into the alley next to the street, Megatron considered what had happened so far...

"Whichever you choose," Megatron said, engine humming quietly and a slight squeeze to the wheel under his hand.

Even if Orion had settled enough for their little confrontation with Turmoil to ask instead of simply saying, Megatron decided it might fit better to deflect the decision to Orion.

Orion stared for a moment. He hadn't actively thought about sliding out of the protective stance or dominant mindset, but his field had already started to contain itself automatically...mostly. It had definitely flickered strongly when they passed nearest to where Turmoil had lingered.

So he was surprised by the little flare of pleasure Megatron's deferral prompted in him, enough to prompt a brief purr. Even if he was always genuinely concerned with Megatron's opinions.

"...Hmm. Your place is closer from here, I believe. I'm fine with heading that way."

He gave Megatron's frame a tighter squeeze in return, wheel wiggling under the gladiator's large hand.

There was a brief, and very knowing, smile on Megatron's faceplate for a moment, before he nodded and turned them the right way, once again making the wheel move by pushing at it.

At least it was a nice night for walking, and since they were going back to the arena's barracks, it was close enough to actually walk. At least that meant he didn't need to let go, which he didn't feel like doing.

When the arena was rising up in front of them, Megatron chuckled.

"So, did you simply walk me home, like a needlessly polite gentlemech, or did you want to come inside for a while?"

If walking allowed him to continue having his wheel played with, Orion was all for it. Tire continually twitching under the gladiator's hands, he reached around Megatron's broad frame to reciprocate, playing with one of the many wheels supporting his treads. Some of the smaller ones, made to catch the treads on various angles, had some springy shocks that could be readily reached and teased from their position.

"Well..."

Orion drawled, grinning as he sidled up closer against Megatron's frame.

"Perhaps I was hoping to manage both?"

Orion playing with the wheels in his threads had his engine humming as they walked, and Orion's response...

Megatron laughed and reached up from the wheel to tweak the audial finial with a grin.

"No need to hope, Orion. I'm all too pleased to accommodate you."

Very much all too pleased that Orion felt up to that tonight, despite the way the evening had ended in the club, so he steered them towards the arena building with the intent on getting them into the backstage areas and the gladiators' barracks.

Orion leaned into Megatron's frame, briefly weak and purring with the tweak to his audial. Despite their time at the club, he really wasn't finding it difficult to slide back into a more casual mindset.

Of course, they had not done anything terribly intense, and his urges had not been directed at Megatron himself at their strongest, so...

Who could know how it might be in the future.

"I am relieved by your accommodations, then." He laughed softly, optics bright with open affection. He happily accompanied Megatron inside, armor practically entangled.

Megatron just chuckled at that and led them along, even if Orion undoubtedly knew the way by now. At least it went quickly, as they weren't stopped on the way. The gladiators in the corridors merely greeted the two of them with brief waves or nods - even Orion, as he was, by now, enough of a staple to be recognised as the mech Megatron was involved in.

The door closing and locking behind them, Megatron grinned and leaned over to brush his lips over the closest audial finial, giving a nibble at its end.

"So, any... particular way you'd like to do this?"

It was a relief that coming and going from the arena was much less of a chore than it had once been. Getting hassled by mechs several times his own size - even if they never hurt him, thanks to Megatron's unspoken protection - was never a good way to start or end a tryst.

Once in the room, Orion had to fight to keep his stance and up on his feet as Megatron played with his audial. Despite shifting 'back to normal', he wasn't ready to give Megatron the lead.

Shifting so his weight was pressing up against the larger mech, Orion slid arms around Megatron's waist, audial twitching.

"Well...while it was all done in the name of helping that poor mech, given that I still need to reclaim a few things..."

He leaned in up against Megatron's neck, lips brushing cables with a constant engine purr.

"I want you myself."

Megatron was only slightly surprised when Orion turned around and pushed against him and not in a completely 'melted-against his frame' way. Rather a very... demanding way.

And the way Orion said reclaim had a slight shudder run through his frame as his engine revved briefly.

"Hmm. I'm already all yours, but I wouldn't say no to that." He didn't exactly bend down, and his choice of words were partly an attempt at provoking Orion to see how demanding he'd get about this... reclaiming business.

He revved his engine again, this time deeper, a veritable dull roar to rattle their frames in accompaniment and counterpoint to Orion's lighter purring as he trailed his hands down Orion's sides.

"Oh? Just let me make sure, hmm?"

Orion grinned against Megatron's neck, hands pressing against the larger frame, encouraging him back toward the wall. Lips trailing upward, he made his way up toward Megatron's lips, which had been involved with someone else quite recently. Venting heavily, he allowed a low rumble, nosing the corner of his mouth-

"Mmmm."

He leaned up, nearly forced to go up on tip-toe, pressing their lips together in a claiming kiss.

"As you wish," chuckling, Megatron obligingly slid his foot backwards part of a step, changing his weight to rest on that foot and making it far more possible for Orion to continue pushing him backwards towards the wall if that was where he wanted to do.

He didn't feel at all bad over forcing Orion to stretch up to reach his mouth - Orion could always tell him to bend down. As it was, he got the pleasant experience of Orion's armour stretching out, cables stretching and tensing to keep Orion's balance as their mouths finally met.

He tilted his helm, then, enough to deepen the kiss, and let his engine rev in a rumbling purr.

He didn't mind having to reach up to kiss Megatron - it allowed him to press his weight against the larger mech, frame scraping noisily and encouraging him back, staggering slowly with each step.

He purred at the verbal concession, tongue lapping as he re-explored the depths of Megatron's mouth, jaws nipping lightly at his lower lip. It was probably only his imagination that there was a faint difference in taste. Probably.

But that didn't mean he wouldn't stop until he had lapped the foreign taste away.

Reaching up to cup Megatron's jaw and encouraging him to deepen the kiss was the only 'downward' motion he silently asked for, fingers sliding under armor to the base of his helm. He slipped a knee between Megatron's thighs, pressing up.

No 'probably' about it, unless Drift had happened to drink or eat something prior to the kiss that was different from what Megatron had had, but he'd hardly say no to kissing.

He still smirked as he slowly retreated backwards, and they hit the wall next to the tiny washracks right when Orion pushed a knee between his thighs.

How fitting.

Setting his hands on Orion's hips and thumbs stroking along the gap between pelvic and waist armour, Megatron gave a low, rumbling hum into the kiss. He also slightly shifted his weight downwards, because the pressure of Orion's knee against his panel was nice. Very nice.

Imagination or not, Orion was doing his level best to explore and 'reclaim' every portion of Megatron's mouth. Tongue flicking, clearing away any foreign taste with his own.

"Mhm. Better."

Grinning into the kiss, Orion obliged Megatron by grinding his knee upward, pressing heat and friction into his panel. Pressing forward with his whole frame probably wasn't enough to technically pin Megatron if he didn't allow it - but he was, and simply pressing him back against the wall made his engine rattle with a burst of want.

Regardless of the way they were testing if this addition to the relationship would work in the long run, Megatron was both amused and... in a way, charmed that Orion could be so possessive.

"I'd be inclined to agree," Megatron said with a rumble in his voice, which deepened when Orion ground his knee upwards into a slightly rougher pitch. Spreading his hands over Orion's aft, Megatron was well-aware of what Orion tried to do.

And even if he hadn't been taller and stronger than the archivist, he would still not have been pinned without allowing it to happen - he did know a thing or two about using the proper technique to throw someone who was pinning you, stronger than you or not.

Of course, with it being Orion, he merely grinned faintly and pushed up just a shade. Not enough to unseat Orion, more like causing some friction and tension both. He'd have been doing this himself, if he wasn't currently (and all too pleased to) indulging in Orion's possessiveness.

"Good to hear," Orion purred, grinding up against the larger mech, carefully warring against Megatron's counter-push. Knee sliding higher, he pressed it more firmly up between Megatron's thighs. Fingers curling reflexively at his neck, Orion dropped a hand to a tempting hip, using the grip to press himself flush with a low clatter of metal; his knee slid back until his was his own thigh between Megatron's.

"I admit, I still find your suggestion for all that rather surprising. Even for such a good cause."

Orion shrugged, lips tilting in a teasing grin against Megatron's jaw.

Humming, in agreement or amusement, Megatron settled back against the wall again, optics darkening at the building friction... and charge. Chcukling when Orion basically welded himself to his front, Megatron spread his hands over that shapely aft and pushed Orion against himself.

"It's useful for exchanging short messages that can't be tracked or overheard," Megatron said with a shrug of his own, smiling at the feel of Orion's smile against his jaw, "it's forbidden to kiss during fights in the arena for that reason."

The kissing itself had been used as a way to whip up some drama and reaction from the audience, but that kissing had been used one time too many in matches where one fighter had been suspected of folding.

So, regardless of the gesture's popularity, it'd been expressly forbidden in the rules.

Grunting at the push, Orion purred his approval, grinding his hips down more heavily in return. It also served to wiggle his aft in Megatron's hold, silently prompting him to squeeze. He readily did so himself, hand on the larger mech's hip sliding back to cop a feel.

Orion almost paused in his ministrations, head tilting with amusement as he absorbed the new information.

"Huh. I had no idea."

His grin turned a little wicked, and he arched up again to press lips just shy of Megatron's own.

"So it used to be allowed in fights, hmm?"

Obliging, because why wouldn't he, Megatron did exactly what that wordless but pleasantly insistent demand wanted, as well as dipping his fingertips into the gap between thigh and pelvic armour to push against the joint protected within.

"Doesn't surprise me, if you don't have an interest in that type of sport... it was a while ago," Megatron said and then bared his teeth in a slow grin, feeling the warming prickle of their fields against each other between their almost-touching lips, as well as faint static charge collecting.

"Indeed. It was very popular. Anything for drama, especially when there were entire relationships seemingly playing out on the arena floor."

Most of those had been fake, of course; the combatants agreeing, either on the fly right then and there in the arena, or planned beforehand. It increased their popularity, which was important both if you were skilled (or lucky) and won a lot, or if you won less.

Not all of those relationships had been for the audience, though, just most, which had also kept the audience invested, since they couldn't be sure if it was just staged or not.

Orion muffled his groan at the touch against Megatron's lips, pointedly claiming them for a long moment, parting with a lingering brush of tongue.

"Mmnnn. You participate in any?"

He pulled back with a grin. Even without Megatron saying so out loud, it wasn't hard for Orion to guess that much of it was probably for show.

"Should I be looking for any old holovids of you mixing faux-romance and violence on the arena floor?"

Smiling against Orion's lips as the mech leaned back after the kiss, Megatron laughed, optics glittering faintly.

"Once or twice, early on. I am well-capable of creating drama and give a proper show in other ways, but it was useful for easy audience sympathies early on," chuckling, Megatron arched an upper optic ridge and trailed a finger up Orion's back, navigating around or along angles and seams, "and you could. Make some requests of the libraries down in Kaon that archive the gladiator fights... since you know my name, they should be able to help you."

He hardly minded Orion going to look for that if he wanted to. He hadn't used it since long before it got banned, but he was hardly ashamed he'd done it.

It'd been amusing, really, and it was also the way he'd met the mech who was his fellow submissive to his first dominant.

"I think I might have to," Orion grinned, amused and oddly eager.

With a thrill, he realized it would kind of be like seeing Megatron himself in 'educational' video, like what he studied before engaging the larger mech in all this. Even with the seemingly inevitable jealousy it may or may not stir up.

Instead he focused on purring at the contact, hips grinding up and down with deliberate slowness. Grip on Megatron's hip tightening, he arched his way up, weight bearing down further against grey and black paneling.

"I might find it...enlightening."

"Or you might find it... overdramatic and quite silly," Megatron said with a shake of his helm, sliding his hand down the same way it'd gone up while he twitched his hips up into the pressure, voice almost purring.

"Considering how it was used, it's about as subtle as a bad romance story," pausing, Megatron tilted his helm and shrugged, "though, admittedly, I usually tried to play it as subdued as possible while still being easy to pick up on, for variation." Since if everybody acted the same, it'd be quite boring.

You had to shake things up a little.

"Now, however..." grinning, Megatron leaned down over Orion, lips sliding along the blue metal of his helm towards an audial finial, "would you rather I flip this around and frag you against the wall... or the berth, if that's what you want, or do you wish to finish this as we're going?"

Thrusting up pointedly while he gave a nibble to the finial, Megatron grinned and settled both his hands on Orion's hips.

"Or that." Orion laughed. "Still worth the time to investigate, however-"

He paused abruptly, Megatron's rather pointed question taking hold with a growl of his engine. Allowing the nibbling to his finial for a moment - and was incredibly tempted to allow it to continue unchecked - Orion quickly flicked his audial away.

"Hmm, no. I think not."

Grip tightening on Megatron's hips in turn, Orion tug his heels in to press more firmly against the larger frame, previously slow grinding going heavy and sharp in an instant. Grin turning into a smirk, Orion nipped down on Megatron's jaw.

"I still wish to continue in this same direction."
