The silence just made him scowl and when Mirage finally spoke again, Cliffjumper bristled at the disbelief he could hear, whipping up straight, but he didn't get to do more than growl before Mirage continued.
"Trance?" Defensive anger dispersed by mouthing out the unfamiliar word - he knew what it meant, of course, but it was just a word... except apparently not. He'd always thought that was fragging exaggerated scrap.
Shaking his helm, Cliffjumper huffed as he looked up at Mirage again, clutching the cube as if it was somehow a defense - as if Mirage would drag him off to a priesthood that didn't exactly exist in an organised fashion anymore.
"Probably 'cause I avoided the temples like acid rain?" Pausing, Cliffjumper grimaced and, looking away, decided he could just as well tell Mirage since he already knew half of it. "It happened at one of the holiday ceremonies I went to. Not like what happened a week ago, but... uh, similar? Avoided goin' after that."
It was probably just as well he'd never been overly religious or invested in going to the holiday celebrations, really.
