It was just both their luck that neither of them were large or well-armoured enough to actually retain heat very well - Cliffjumper knew exactly how quickly he lost heat, an amount that had only been minimally (negligibly) modified by the extra armour he'd gotten for the war.
The noise Mirage made, so very close to something that did not belong here, or with him, had Cliffjumper twitching upright, engine stuttering before he curled up again.
Frag it all to the pit.
Forcing his engine to retake its higher gear, Cliffjumper ducked his helm and scowled, trying to ignore the way his field had flexed just earlier.
