Was he supposed to understand what Mirage intended with that look? Because he sure wasn't, and Cliffjumper just stared back before he turned around - and was thus surprised with the hand on his shoulder.
Briefly, Cliffjumper froze even as his optics brightened, but since he'd already been moving, turning around, when Mirage came up to him, it was relatively easy to just continue walking even with that hand on his shoulder.
Did Mirage think he couldn't walk by himself or something, or was he just... naturally touchy with someone when he was (supposedly) involved with them, and just letting that... come through in how he was acting now?
"I think you've seen a ship before, we got here in one, didn't we?" Cliffjumper said with a roll of his optics, the comment slipping out partly because he needed to get this nervous and partly tense frustration out somehow, and because he couldn't help it.
Luckily, that only garnered chuckles from the nearest mechs, and the ambassador nodded, a glitter of amusement in her optics.
"If it would interest you, then of course. Though hopefully Primus will be king enough that we won't be too long in here instead of spending time on Paradron. It's far more beautiful and interesting than a transport shuttle, after all," she said and then briefly, flickered an optic in a wink, and Cliffjumper was honestly startled before he grinned back, despite not intending to.

He still didn't trust them, though.
