The kiss certainly shut him up. He didn't even have much of a chance to respond in kind before she pulled away, optics wide and dim in dazed surprise.
Maybe she...hadn't noticed his slip? Or at the very least, didn't disapprove of it. He wasn't any less fragged over, but he perked up noticeably at her suggestion, audials only slightly back in mortification.
"..You play Diamond Chatra?" There was no doubt in the exclamation, only excited pleasure, and he leaned forward in transparent eagerness. Half of the eagerness was probably mild desperation to change the subject, but it was still real.
