It may have just now been hitting her- but for him, this was reality simply setting in. And that reality meant he was already starting to lose focus, exhaustion overcoming any lingering wariness. He didn't even flinch as she began to climb back in, but at least the quiet thrum of his engines showed that he hadn't simply fallen in to stasis.
